Khloé sobre o genocídio arménio: "É nosso dever não ficarmos calados"

A socialite passou uma mensagem poderosa aos seguidores. 

Esta segunda-feira, 24 de abril, Khloé Kardashian utilizou o Instagram para falar aos seguidores sobre um marco importante da história mundial. A socialite publicou uma foto com as irmãs numa viagem à Arménia, o seu país de origem, e na legenda falou sobre o genocídio aos arménios.

"Hoje é o 102.º aniversário do genocídio arménio. Em 1915, o Império Otomano cometeu uma exterminação massiva de 1,5 milhões de arménios. Sou orgulhosa em ser arménia!!! É nosso dever não ficarmos calados sempre que há humanos a sofrer e a serem humilhados, independentemente da raça ou crença (...)", escreve.

No final, Khloé escreve aindauma frase do escritor arménio-americano William Saroyan.

Today marks the 102-year anniversary of the Armenian genocide. In 1915, the Ottoman Empire committed mass extermination of 1.5 million Western Armenians. I am proud to be an Armenian!!! It is our duty to not be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation no matter their race or creed. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. It saddens me that history books don't acknowledge such torture but my voice will be used to bring awareness to my people for being survivors!!!
